I want to attach cardboard and tape to a worklight?
Q. But the worklight gets so hot it melts the duct tape I've been trying, and I'm afraid I might burn the cardboard and start a fire. But I need to diffuse it's brightness. Any suggestions on tapes that are more sustainable to heat, and or anything else I can try? I should clarify, the card board is creating a box where cloth will cover the end, to keep the cloth from being burnt by the light if I placed it directly on it to diffuse it.

A. The heck with the duct tape... You're just asking to set fire to yourself with the whole contraption... There are hundreds of non-flamable lamp shade and light diffusion options available at hardware stores for all kinds of lamps and light bulbs. As I don't know what this lamp looks like, it's hard for me to recommend anything... except a new light.

How Can I Avoid Cardboard Clothes When Hanging Them Out On The Line?
Q. I work in a Care Home and we get through loads of washing, were trying to dry the clothes out on the line but it makes the towels and jeans really rough and like cardboard. We already use a good quailty fabric conditioner. Thanks Alot

A. My suggestion is use, Hair Conditioner any kind will work, use about golf ball size amount in the softner/bleach dispenser and fill the remaining with warm water add this to the final rinse cycle, thats it thats all you have to do, your clothes will come out very soft. Or you can use one cup of White Vinegar to the rinse water in the washer, your clothes will come out soft and static free plus it is very economical to use vinegar it's cheaper and will last longer. Another suggestion is and explanation to why your clothes are coming out stiff like cardboard is because you are using too much detergent, here's a suggestion on how to get your clothes cleaner with less detergent and you won't have that cardboard feeling anymore, nor will you… [cont.]

How much does a big cardboard box cost?
Q. Something that you'd find in a walmart or kmart. I'm going to be cleaning out my closet tomorrow and I'm trying to find a huge cardboard box or a bunch of big ones. And which would you recommend I get?

A. You can find boxes of all sizes where you rent moving trucks, such as U-haul. They start out around $1 for the small ones and go up from there. Like PP said, the bigger the box, the heavier it will be. Probably $3 for a med/large. If you are looking for the kind you have to "assemble" with a print on the outside, they start around $10.
